Work With Me
Human judgement doesn’t survive by default with AI in the room.
That’s my work.
AI can sharpen your thinking or quietly dull it. I help people use AI without losing their edge, and organizations design systems that support human judgement.
I bring two decades of experience in enterprise technology, innovation and organizational change, alongside original research into how conversational AI earns trust.
Speaking, Podcasts, Workshops
Invite me into the room
I speak at conferences and leadership events, guest on podcasts, and facilitate workshops.
The aim is to provoke useful questions and help people think differently about what to do next.
I’m more about conversation than keynote.
What we could talk about
How to engage with AI without losing your mind.
Practical ways to use AI that keep your own thinking in the driver’s seat, drawn from original research and from turning that research on my own use of AI.
Why AI sounds right, even when it’s wrong.
Confident tone, tidy structure, your own words reflected back at you. How AI earns belief before it has earned it.
Why telling people to “think critically” about AI isn’t enough.
What does it take to design for better judgement? Lessons from building tools that make AI's influence visible, and exploring what it takes to go beyond awareness.
Hosting a podcast or planning an event? Tell me who’s listening and I’ll suggest the conversation that fits.
Tools, Experiments & Interventions
Designing for human judgement
Exercising judgement around AI isn’t only about changing human behaviour. It means changing system behaviour too. Telling people to think critically about an output that was built to sound right leaves them to do the hard part alone.
I design interventions on both sides: tools that make an AI response’s pull visible to the person reading it and, increasingly, changes to how the system itself responds. We start small, test what shifts, and learn before you commit to anything larger.
From the Lab
Two experiments in making AI’s influence on human judgement visible.
BE Cue Detector
Shows the cues that make an AI response feel credible and human: social warmth, expert framing, and mirroring of your own words.
BE Diagnostic
Lets reviewers check, correct and build on what the detector finds, producing a coded record of how an output earns belief.

Collaboration & Advisory
Let’s think it through together
You want to use AI and aren’t sure where it belongs, and where it doesn’t. Or you’re already using it, and suspect human review has turned into a rubber stamp.
I work with your team to find the use cases worth pursuing, implement them in ways that keep human judgement in the loop, and fix the places where oversight has become a formality.
Questions to start with
Where would AI genuinely help?
And where would it quietly take over something people should still own?
What makes a use case worth doing?
Not only “does it work,” but what does it do to the people doing the work?
Where is a human supposed to check the AI’s work?
And what are they actually checking?
What should the system do differently?
Not just the people.
