Meet Janneke Ritchie

Early in my career I learned how to help people in large organizations navigate technology-driven change. Some people call it organizational change management, others call it digital transformation. It’s a bit of both.

That work taught me how people adopt new technologies and new ways of doing things. Over my years in business, technology and design, I have strengthened teams of ‘end-users’ looking to take advantage of modern technologies to improve their work flow and the teams’ outcomes. In developing customized solutions, I balanced organizational goals while supporting the messy realities of individuals adopting new technology. I even designed some elegant and compassionate robot interactions for business settings.

Those years taught me that modern technologies - especially robots and AI - are poised to transform how we work, live and age. It also taught me that (for the most part) people are not ready.

That’s why I founded Orange Gate Labs. With a focus on using digital technologies for human connection, Orange Gate Labs designs, develops and delivers solutions that help people overcome the challenges of adopting new technologies and practice adapting them to their unique needs. We empower people to use digital tech to connect to the people that matter most: customers, colleagues, employers, friends and family.

Helping people be ready is what drives me every day. I’m here to inspire, enable and empower people to use modern tech with confidence, and to understand that with know-how, practice and compassion, modern technologies can make us better humans.
